Even if something is strong, it is not unbreakable.

a jewell: I am, what some would consider, a "woman of a certain age" and a life-long do-it-yourselfer. My earliest memories are those of making my own puppets in my childhood bedroom -- craft supplies strewn all over the floor. As I got older, my crafting projects and my ambition got more extensive. I not only enjoy crafts but I am very daring when it comes to home improvement (something that intimidated my former husband). I live by the words..."What's the worst that can happen?" I am also a self-proclaimed researcher (read: googler) so when I see something I like, I find a way to make it myself. I like to think my children benefited from my daring. They could always count on me for everything from homemade Halloween costumes they could dream up to themed snacks at school, as well as rainfall shower heads being installed and leaky toilets being repaired. With my three kids grown and either in college or working full-time, I find myself with plenty of free time for projects and a truly supportive boyfriend who doesn't even bat an eyelash when I say, "I can try to do that myself"!
